Orecchiette 04:04
This is only temporary Et cetera; my worst enemy Can't shake this feeling That this is only temporary I can't feel my fingers I can't feel... ¡No niños en la canasta! Yeah, I did the right thing, But not the right way! I'd tell you everything, it wouldn't change No, it wouldn't change I can't feel my fingers I can't feel... ¡No niños en la canasta! (Conner's scatology homework)

A positive picture of you, Is a negative picture of youth It encapsulates an all new view Even at such a young age, The lights won’t dim as you head for that stage It’s just an ugly version of truth Shave the side of your head A new fashion, you’re almost dead You showed us the way And now you’ve got nothing left to say We’ve seen what you do Just to make it through Each week, but it doesn’t have to be this way You’ve found success In your brand new skin dress Being yourself was never your thing It’s sad, but We told you… (It’s sad, but we told you) I never wanted to see (It’s sad, but we told you) Your fucked up version of truth I don’t want to see what happens To you…

Separation 02:16
To live under forceful anguish Is a slow, slow death To live under forceful anguish Is a slow, slow death Marching children to their cages The separation gets intense Void of sympathy The separation gets intense Convinced you're not a pawn yourself You live comfortably Though we all rot the same Marching children to their cages The separation gets intense Void of sympathy The separation gets intense And you're no fucking hero

My bitter indignation Task after task Source of my animosity Source of this acrimony Tell me about it Tell me about it There’s nobody home but air Your mistake, left cash for theft Broken glasses in my dreams Tears and pain you’ve caused me Smash my head into the wall I don’t wish you pain I just need you to open your eyes And see you’ve stolen from me All I had left to gain It’s just my rancor From the long-term towering Glib and snide Glib and snide Give it a while You’ll see that material isn’t worth your time I’m not the only one You stole my dignity You’ve got the spirit of the banshee You’re the woman of the fairy mound Your wail, that shriek; it reaps my worth You reap what you sew Behind the back of your man, another suitor will stand He knows you totally can, you’re capable, but hardly a human

The Words 04:59
The words That spew out your throat Tend to hurt the ones around you So cower and hide You know it wasn't right (What you said Did you mean it? What you said) So sniff it up Choke it down and suffocate I live a lifetime per every dream What happened to the night we spent watching lightning? It just goes to show that you never know What's happening behind the scene Sometimes you don't need words at all... The words you don't even bother to say Speak volumes that what you really said couldn't reach The words you never bothered to say Are reflected by this porch light air I swallow these words until I spit them up Or until I take another hit, pour myself back up And all I do is rant and rave When reality becomes a fucking guessing game But you're never around (But you're never around) And you never want to be (And you never want to be) But the way your green eyes set me on fire (But you're never around) It makes me want to sit here and wait (And you never want to be)

Bother 05:23
My heart sinks at these words you said The worrying sets in and I can't stop thinking My heart sunk at just what you said Potentially replaced, potentially replaced Bothering Why am I bothering? Deafening static It's all I can hear You're in another room while I'm stuck here What I was feeling is now replaced with fear Bothering With this anxiety It’s all in my mind It’s all in my mind
10.
Oppressive mind Neglect all you know Commit to memory Order obligatory Stuck in my head Third or so place Always Stuck in my head Third or so place Negative change Reflective anguish Oppressive mind Neglect all you know Commit to memory Order obligatory Stuck in my head Third or so place (from a junkie's diet) Always Stuck in my head Third or so place Negative change Reflective anguish I'll never forget what you did to yourself A rotting husk You die happy and healthy

The Eulogy 05:13
92 miles per hour Influenced 92 miles… “Forever, I will stay humble” I wish you stayed Every single day Nothing feels the same Anymore Not since the morning That I heard the news Has anything really been the same Without you two Please come back Please come back Please come back Please come back If I had the chance, I would go back And answer you One last time, We’d share these recollections One last time… One last time… One last time…

about

Recorded from June 6, 2018 to August 7, 2019, except "The Part Of The Film Where Your Favorite Character Dies" was recorded on August 8, 2017, with additional acoustic guitar on "H" recorded on December 20, 2019.

Influences:
Cameron Mitchell - Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Tim Alexander (Primus), Thomas Pridgen, Billy Rymer (The Dillinger Escape Plan), self-hatred, LSD, playing until my hands bleed, John Clardy, Mario Rubalcaba, and near death experiences.
Conner Reed - Corey Feldman.
Sam Scott - Many people, artists, and situations influenced me during the creation of this album. In no order, they include but are not limited to: my relationship and breakup with my partner at the time; struggling with depression, anxiety, and OCD; 2 different jobs I worked during the creation of the album; Cameron and I almost dying in a car accident; and nearly committing suicide before this album could be finished (You're never alone, please reach out if you're struggling. Here is a hotline number: 1-800-273-8255. Please reach out, your life is so important.). There are so many artists that influenced me while writing this album, but I'll give a condensed list: Fugazi, Hoover, City Of Caterpillar, Foxy Shazam, Glassjaw, Converge, Fear Before, The Blood Brothers, Shellac, Shudder To Think, R.E.M., and Deftones.

Rest in peace to Kali Bachelder. You're greatly missed.
